Creeping and covering the tiny

windows

With a seat for you to enjoy

smell and see - what mother nature

does best ...

Or perhaps - take a stroll ...

Retro Autumn Hoop ...

I found a decent sized piece of this fabric -

and i fell in love with the colours and design of this !!

It looks like something from the 70`s and is

made from polyester - the kind which you

wore and got static electricity from !

Fancy having a dress made in this !! ? ?

It may not be to everyones taste -

I just had to buy it !!

I took the plunge to cut just a

small piece from it - placed it in an

embroidery hoop - and added

various elements onto the design .

I still have a small doubt about the

colour of the hoop - it has purple then

ivory paint on top . Then i sanded it down some .

It can be hung up - as a piece of " art " from

vintage lilac seam binding ..

This is my contribution to our

Fun Friday challenge - the word prompt

for this was Autumn ...

I Flew On Your Wings ...

" I Flew On Your Wings "

8" x 6" canvas .

A canvas that i have been working on

the past 2 days . Still with having thoughts

of raising money for cancer research - this

developed . Collaged painted surface -

flattened bottle caps with a face image and

sealed with glossy accents .

Each has acknowledged their friendship -one

by supporting them through a difficult time

in their life .

The other acknowledging they were

there for them - a true friendship .

Autumn Sparkles ...

With the autumn season in my mind ..

The leaves are slowly changing

their colours - my visitor Mr

squirrel - is gathering nuts and

using our garden to store them !

And being too elusive for me taking a snap

- he`s too quick for me !!

I came across these beautiful

beaded fruits with velvet leaves .

Couched vintage seam binding ,

2 small brads holding wire with seed

pearls and found bead ..

While i say that i do blog - for myself -

and when i wish to do so .. I welcome any

comments from yourselves out there .

However . After receiving an email from

someone and unsuccessful at replying . I had to resort to

replying on here - when i felt it is was an unnecessary

thing to do .

So whoever it was ...

I blog because i want to - about my craft skills and

places of interest i visit . I create things from my heart

and in many forms and post photographs i have taken myself

unless otherwise stated .

I do not need to justify myself

to you on here this way .

If you personally do not

find this interests you - you do not have to read it .

Let alone get in touch and air your views .

Why take your time to say to me about your

views on this ? Written or spoken words can hurt -

and it did - for a moment - then i felt that it was

not worth wasting my time getting upset - and

wasting my time posting this .

So while you`re reading this - i hope that

you feel you have gained nothing from what

you intended to achieve .

i know you came here for another reason

just not this - just me saying what i needed to

vent in a humane way ;o) ...

Lynn And I - Finally Meet !!

The day has been and gone now -

but i totally enjoyed meeting

Lynn - along with her husband

yesterday afternoon . After meeting

her at the train station - and Lynn

not really recognising myself until i

approached her !! We called in Starbucks

for a warming cup of coffee - as the weather

was windy and cold . The ice was broken -

and we chatted about many things , swapped

gifts , and remembered to take photos when we

could do .

Here we are posing for Lynn`s husband -

who did a great job of taking my photo`s !

And i think i`m showing alittle too much

cleavage in this shot and looking wind swept !! ;o)

And here we are previewing Lynn`s

photo`s - her husband had messed about with

the camera settings - and she wanted to correct

them ! And make sure she had good shots of us .

After walking around Harrogate - and

shopping ;o) We called in Betty`s Tearooms .

The building behind the below photo . Which

is a long established "posh " place to dine .

We all had a gorgeous meal and drinks -

then headed out once again .

I spent 5 hours with them - which passed by

too quickly - then it was time to say goodbye .

All my gifts that Lynn graced me with !

A fragrant bag of pods and Canadian acorns

that Lynn had picked herself .

and surrounded by autumnal items .

The expression is priceless !

You excelled yourself on creating this

tin Lynn - and i am grateful to be on the

receiving end of this little treasure !!

The happy couple ! !

I hope you do not mind me showing

your husband Lynn ;o) But you were both

gracious hosts in paying for everything for

us - when really i should have paid .

It was a good feeling to actually meet someone

who you had met through your blog . A little surreal

infact - I value our friendship even more so -

you are a gentle warm loving person - a

beautiful creative woman - and i thankyou for making

one of my wishes come true !

One day - i will return the favour - and visit you .

Lynn`s Sneak Peak ...

I am meeting Lynn tomorrow -

and i`m feeling excited and nervous

all rolled into one ! I finished this tiny

canvas for her last night - so i`m hoping

she hasn`t access to a computer - or she

will see this ! If you`re reading this Lynn

don`t go any further !! ;o)

I had some inspiration from Kelly Rae Roberts

new book - Taking Flight , and adapted it

slightly - So Lynn is the first to receive my

initial attempt at this - I do hope

she likes it !!

Lynn has just started altered art -

and is becoming a good creator in

this field . I wanted to give her something

that would affirm her creative thoughts -

and to not give up , carry on doing this ,

and believe in her work . All artists have

self doubt over their work - so i hope that when she

looks at this - it will keep her inspiration

truly flying high and grow in the process !

And i maybe sounding like a

broken record - but i have updated

my SHOP

with a few new items and others i have

relisted - to raise funds for Breast Cancer

awareness month .

I hope to post photos of our meeting this weekend !!
