The Many Facets Of Autumn ......

I had an overwhelming urge last night to get out with my camera , as i had a " visit " of inspiration , which i am duly lacking in at the moment . After composing the below poem , i went outside this morning to see what i could find ........

The stream picture was taken in february this year ........

A once filled bandstand .......

The seat that i sat on for a while ..... Just watching the world go by ........

Just some of the wondeful colours that you can see ..... If you just take the time to notice ........

And still some glimpses of vibrant colours scattered around ........

The winds of change

Do blow in the air ,

Standing tall and proud

Ready to shed and bare .

Falling leaves like tears ,

To blanket the ground .

They fall to the earth ,

Without making a sound .

Do they feel a "loss "

Stood all naked and bare ?

Still basking in their beauty ,

Lying doormant ...... Still aware .

They all have Hope ,

What the coming months will bring .

To bloom once more ......

And wait for spring .

Also a quick reminder ..... if you haven`t already seen my Christmas goodie giveaway ... It`s just below !!

Well Carolyn, this did much to warm me from the inside out. I adore your poem which is very moving...I can feel tears wanting to flow and that's a wonderful thing which can help with pressure that has built. I also love the photographs..very moving as well. I love that you found a bloom amongst the decay of leaves fallen to the ground. It gives immense hope!!

Your poem and photos work well together. Both are haunting and yet peaceful and hopeful. I really like the face on the arch.

Hi Carolyn,

I found your blog via Pea's Corner and thought that I would drop by and say hello. When I saw the photos I knew that they were taken in the UK even before I read your profile ~ we don't see mossy tree trunks here in Canada. It is funny what I miss about being there...

Anyway, I love your blog and will visit again soon ~ I'm off to post on your giveaway now. Do stop by and visit me soon, as I am planning a giveaway of my own.

Great photos, lovely poem! I can only post 5 photos at a time, do you know how you can post more? Do I have to change some setting in order to do that?

Fabulous Autumn photos. I just love the crisp feeling in the air...You can just smell the holidays right around the corner!

My camera pretty much goes where I go...More important than my cell phone for sure.

Love the beautiful poem.

Have a great rest of the week!
