Breath Taking Scenery ......

I am so fortunate to live pretty close to places of natural beauty . Where some of the scenes just take my breath away , and give me inspiration for my work .

These are some photos taken just this gone weekend at Malham , North Yorkshire .....

Early morning mist .......

Looking down from a road onto Malham Cove ......

Me trying to do an " arty " photo !

As we travelled further along that road , and more out in the baroness ..... We passed this horse , all alone in a field ..........

I had to stop and say " hello " , and give him one of my mint polos . For which he let me take his photograph ........

It is only in the past few years that i have come to appreciate places of natural outstanding beauty . Where now i walk around with my eyes open , and seen that it was there all along ..........

Isn't it funny how our eyes "miss" something so incredibly beautiful because it is "there". And when we stop to look with the eyes of our soul, everything takes on such magnificent beauty. That horse is beautiful.

I could just imagine a Jane Austen damsel coming over the hill on her horse galloping off into the mist. The scenery is breathtaking.
I did some research for a sampler from that region dated 1756 recently. The names of the towns and villages were so charming. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness! I scrolled down to look at your recent posts and found home!!! How I miss Yorkshire ~ I love the Malham Cove area and walking in the Yorkshire Dales. My Mum still lives in Harrogate, but I haven't been home in ages.
