Semi - Celebration ! .....

Well would you believe it ..... Today is my 150 th post !!! YIPPEEE !!
I certainly didn`t think i would still be doing this from starting way back in May this year ! I was one of those lurkers on just a few blogs and wishing i wanted to do something ..... I had restarted doing my craft work , so i thought it was an ideal opportunity to set one up ......... Then i happened to stumble across a magazine feature to set one up for free and who doesn`t like something for free ! ? :-) Over the months i have come to love showing my creations , finds , thoughts and words .... And of course meeting so many new to me , creative , wonderful people out there , like you who`s reading this !

So as in part celebration today , as i was going to celebrate on Friday with my give away and i could not wait 4 days to post at least something ....... I thought i would share my muses with you ..
It cannot be grasped from thin air ... It is something that speaks to you personally . Even though individuals will have the same muse , their aspect on the perception of it will differ . How they "see it " and perceive it ....
I had read about it on other blogs , and i`m not sure where it originated from ..... But ...
It didn`t take me that long to come up with just a small collection to show ....

ART :

This comes in such an array of different forms .... Some including nature , paintings , writing ... The list is endless . It was hard for me to choose a pictures , as i have my camera with me always .....

So i came up with just Two fantasy artists work i admire ......

Luis Royo ......

Gothic Angel holding a demon ....

And the extremely talented Boris Vallejo ...... Girls on Dragons ......

Both done with vivid imagination , stepping into a world of their own , and coming up with beautiful works of art .. In the human body form , which is another art form . The detail of the skin and muscle is magnificent ...... So real you could touch it ......

A picture captured on a ceramic plate ....

Image from Chatsworth House , Derbyshire ....

GOOD OLD MOTHER NATURE HERSELF :

Many of you out there will agree with me , this has to be included . From the rolling hills of the countryside , to flowers , and birds . All of which have been caught in paintings and inspired poets to write . Even i had a visit to write something ! Only when you take the time , which we have , and sometimes can be limited . Can we truly appreciate what she has to offer ....

A giant man , made from logs of wood at Grizdale Forest Park , Cumbria ......

WATER :

One of the life giving forces of Mother nature . We cannot survive with out it ........ The ocean is always a magnet for people . Whether it is to swim , walk along the shore , or watch a beautiful sunset .. Breathing in the clean sea air ... So revitalising ! It never ceases to amaze me , what abuse it takes , like an oil spill . It somehow recovers , if not back to a 100% it was originally . But that is mankind doing that , there is bound to be some change . We cannot stop that . But we can help to preserve what we do have left .....

From naturally made .... High Force , near Derbyshire .....

To be frozen in time .......

ARCHITECTURE :

One of my other passions .. Especially older type buildings , monuments , statues - another long list could be included ..... From artists having the vision to create something that would stand the test of time , to be loved and admired , and so others could see their beauty for all it`s worth .....

Do you look up ... to just see the sky ? Or see something else ??

Frontage of a registra building in Derby .......

Or wonder what this castle would have looked like in all it`s glory ? ......

Kennilworth Castle . Warwick ...

Or had the patience and gift to carve something as grand as this marble lion monument ?
Chatsworth House again ......

I do so hope that you enjoyed taking a tiny peak into what is my muse , at this point in my life ... And i wish to pass this on to you , if you want to do so . I would love to see what you come up with - Please let me know !!

I do also hope you will join me on friday , to help me celebrate , and to announce a little something extra special to go with the Christmas goodie give away !

Carolyn I love the nature photos!
I don't know about those angels...not my version of how I perceive them. I suppose that's what art is about.. we all have our own individual taste in what we enjoy looking at.
Congratulations on 150 posts!! Soon I shall reach 300! Have yourself a day filled with harmony and peace!

Well Happy 150th post!!! It doesn't take long for them to add up, and yet we are amazed when we've done so much.

You've chosen some fabulous images from all forms of art...I would never think of myself this way, but I'm really drawn to the architecture that you chose. I never saw myself as someone who appreciated that medium but the more I'm thinking about it, the more I can see that I have been and just didn't realize it.

Will definitely be with you on Friday!! Love a good party!! What shall I bring???

Carolyn, Thanks for sharing so many things that into today's busy world we do not always take the time to notice.
The artwork is vibrant, nature always spectacular, but that ceramic platter divine.
Congrats on your 150th post! Susan
