So The Thrift Buying Continues .....

Some most recent of my finds ......

A 1985 edition of Laura Ashley decorating book . I LOVE this book !

Even though some of the pictures look a little " dated " now . It`s nice to see how quickly trends change over the years ..... Or not as the case maybe .........

Yet more vintage trims .........

I got this book just for it`s cover , to use for altering it in inside , and not much to do on the outside .........

However on looking more closely inside ... It`s about Lady Hamilton , who was associated with Napoleon .....

So i do plan to read this book , about her life and love . And decide later if i want to spoil this book !

Christmassy things !!! Did i hear you moan about it creeping up on us so soon ? !

Not sure if it`s vintage crepe paper , but i`ve not come across this before . And some will be put in my Christmas goodie bag give away !!

A large bag of oddments and found these gorgeous fabric flowers inside ......

Vintage Czech glass baubles amoungst other goodies .....

Some have mild scratches on , so i`d like to decoupage something on them ..........

I thought this looked nearly like a Christmas tree when i saw it !

Fancy gold thread all the way around it on a thick card cone .......

Inside a vintage childrens Christmas annual ..... The little girl looks too much like my sisters daughter !

You found some great stuff to use in your crafts.
I had several Laura Ashley books at one time, but passed them on. I think back now, and wonder if I hould have kept them.
I reas you earlier post about your sister, and hope she is okay..?

Carolyn: That is quite an array of "stuff" you found. What treasures! Both of the books look quite interesting...Laura Ashley because she always had great classic ideas and the other about Lady Hamilton was a nice surprise, I'm sure. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope to "see" you again soon.

Fabulous finds!! Oh don't do anything to Lady Hamilton until you have read the book...she was fascinating!!!

Laura Ashley is timeless in some ways. And everything old becomes new in different ways.

Hello Carolyn:-) Thank you so much for coming by my blog and leaving a comment, I so love meeting new people!! Such wonderful vintage items you found...I've been browsing a couple of antique shops for vintage Christmas cards and ornaments but no luck so I've turned to eBay...that could be dangerous! lol I just love anything vintage:-) Have a wonderful weekend! xox

Does the thrift buying ever end? Not for me! Lots of fun goodies. I love the children's story book - I remember having that one as a child! Or maybe it was from my kids' childhood. Well, in any case, I remember it.
