Generous Friends ....

The whole creative blogging community out there , i have come to know and love , are by far , the most wonderful people out there ! Their support , love and generosity is overwhelming sometimes .
I took part in Pay It Forward , back in November last year , and yesterday i received this gorgeous bookmark , from Cathie of

The colours and stitch work are more amazing in the flesh , and i simply love it ! Something as simple as this , brought me so much pleasure in receiving this .

Thank- you so much Cathie !!

And while i had been away , this was waiting at home for me to open ...

From one of my best friends Sherry .... An altered note book !!

A belated birthday present for me , which on opening , i fell in love with it ,

and knowing that someone thought and took their precious time

to create something especially for me .

Makes it more of a treasured item to use .

Heartfelt Thanks to you Sherry !

A saying just inside the book ....

I am also busy doing the altered torso playing cards ,

for the winners , from my birthday bash . Here`s just one i remembered to photograph !

I " forgot " the other , but i will not say who this one is for ,

incase they are reading this !! I hope that she likes it !

So ... whatever you do this weekend ...

Have a brilliant time !!

xxxxxxxx

I love that bookmark -- the fibrous texture looks amazing!!!

And I love the torso!!! Girl you have got it goin' -- very red carpetish isn't it!!!

I am so glad that you like the altered journal -- something I thought you could use to capture not just your thoughts in words, but use it to sketch and keep ideas for future projects. I have to tell you I had so much fun making it!!!

I'm loving the new look and feel of your blog by the way -- it's very, very soothing!

Hello dear Carolyn:-)

I've been feeling so "out of the loop" where blogging is concerned lately but hopefully in another week or so I'll be done remodeling my computer room and can then blog to my heart's content once again!! I've just read all of your posts since your return...omigosh, look at all those fabulous photos!! I've always admired the landscape you have over there and the architecture of the old buildings, halls and castles are amazing! If I can ever get over my fear of flying, I'd love to go visit these places for myself:-) For now, I'll just enjoy them through you!! I can't even imagine staying in a place like Slaley Hall...wow! I'm very partial to castles so of course loved the ones you took of Bamburgh castle. Sounds like you had a lovely trip:-)

I always get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I receive something handmade from my friends in the mail so I can imagine how you felt when you received these goodies!! That altered torso playing card you made is just gorgeous...the talent you ladies have always leaves me in awe! Love it! xoxo
